Reggae Sunsplash
is Back

The secret is out! ‘Jamrock’ is
abuzz and reverberating enthusiastic anticipation! The big news of
the year is that after a nearly ten-year caesura, the acclaimed
Reggae Sunsplash is back! Slated for August 3-6, 2006 the
organizers have earmarked Richmond Estate, Priory, St. Ann as the
venue for this, Reggae music’s most prestigious renaissance.
Reggae Review
has been fortunate enough to be proximate to the intensely feverish
activity behind the scenes of the development of the brand new face
of Jamaica’s lionized Reggae event. Top billing Reggae/Dancehall
artistes like Bushman, Freddie McGregor, Morgan
Heritage, Vybz Kartel and Beenie Man are only a
few among the already confirmed crop of performers for the four day
festival. While producers have been super secretive about the
details of the returning festival, a press conference to announce is
scheduled for March, exact date, time and venue to be announced. |
