February blew past as fast as the storms that came through here last month. On February 25, Jimmy Cliff and The Itals were performing at Caesars and because of the snow no bands were there yet by 9pm. The promoter was panicking but everyone showed up at the last minute and the show went great.

Israel Vibration packed the house in Tahoe and Sacramento. Easy Star All Stars was the opening act for I-Vibes and there is quite a buzz about them. I have promoted at least six of their shows over the last two years and had yet to see them, so, on Saturday, February 26, I hightailed it down to San Francisco to Bob Marley day to see Easy Star All Stars and also Alpha Blondy who I had never seen perform before. And guess what... I missed both of them. Easy Star came on early and we got there a bit late. And while Alpha was on, Wendy Russell, Katie and I were visiting with Barrington Levy and his agent who has been a phone friend of ours forever, Ric Bracamontes. We caught the last two minutes of Alpha's last song but enjoyed visiting with him after his show. His sense of humor and fun is infectious. San Francisco’s Bob Marley Day was a big success in terms of turn out and an all around great show.

Robbie from Renegade Production's just told me that he has been asked to book the Wednesday night series of Reggae at the Sands resort in Reno. It is a poolside party and is quite fun on hot summer nights.

In May, The Wailers are performing at the Reno Hilton. Besides the many local Reggae bands that’s about it until Summer when we will have the Truckee Reggae Series in Truckee, CA and also at least two Renegade Festivals.

Quincy Fairgrounds has invited us back but check our website in about a month at http://www.renegadeshows.com to find out for certain.
